Ghislaine Maxwell, once known for her close ties to Jeffrey Epstein, is back in headlines after the release of a courtroom transcript. The transcript sheds light on her past social encounters with high-profile figures and her denial of any links to U.S. President Donald Trump.
Maxwell recalls encounters with Musk
Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison term for helping Epstein in sex trafficking, gave details about meetings and social interactions that have attracted fresh public attention. Her testimony included recollections of brief encounters with billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, mentions of other famous personalities, and clear rejection of any connection to Trump in her legal troubles
The revelations have added more intrigue to an already controversial case, which continues to spark debate and speculation across the world.
During the transcript exchange, Maxwell recalled meeting Elon Musk at a party in the Caribbean around 2010 or 2011. The event was hosted by a well-known tech leader, and Maxwell was clear that Epstein was not present at the gathering.
She further said that she came across Musk again at the Oscars, though she described the interaction as brief. When questioned about whether Epstein and Musk had direct communication, Maxwell said she believed there may have been email contact between the two. However, she admitted her memory on the matter was weak and based on trial material rather than her personal involvement.
Her remarks have caused widespread curiosity because of Musk’s position as one of the most influential figures in technology and business. Still, the transcript does not suggest any wrongdoing or criminal activity involving him.
A long list of famous names
The transcript also revealed Maxwell mentioning a range of well-known people who, according to her, were within Epstein’s larger social network. These included politicians, celebrities, business leaders, and public figures.
Among the names she recalled were Andrew M Cuomo, John F Kerry, Edward M Kennedy, Sarah Ferguson, Naomi Campbell, Alan Dershowitz, Kevin Spacey, and Larry Summers. Maxwell described these individuals as friends, acquaintances, or professional contacts within Epstein’s circle. She was clear that none of them were accused of crimes in relation to her case.

She also referred to former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, though she provided very few details about their connection.
The inclusion of such a wide range of personalities highlights how far-reaching Epstein’s connections were. For years, his ability to move in elite circles has been a subject of intense interest and speculation.
Denial of Trump connection and Musk’s ongoing feud
One of the most direct parts of Maxwell’s testimony was her rejection of claims linking Trump to her conviction. She insisted that her charges had no connection to the president.
At the same time, Trump’s name has become part of the conversation because of an ongoing clash with Musk. Over recent months, Musk has repeatedly criticized Trump on his social media platform, pressing for the release of all Epstein-related records. Reports show he posted or reshared accusations dozens of times in July alone.

Musk once claimed that Trump’s name was in Epstein’s files. He later deleted the post. He also mocked Trump’s comments about the case. Trump had called the issue an “Epstein hoax.” Musk replied that Epstein was dead and Maxwell was in prison. He asked how it could be a hoax.
This public feud has kept the matter in constant spotlight and added another layer of attention to Maxwell’s testimony.
