Schedule 1 Players at Risk from Malicious Mods

What’s Happening With Schedule 1 Mods?

Schedule 1 is a silly and fun game that lots of people enjoy playing. The game lets you do all sorts of funny things, like making customers fly or turning them into zombies. That’s part of what makes it so fun and different. The game also lets players use mods, which are special add-ons made by other people. These mods can change the game or add new stuff, helping you play in your own way and try out fun new things.

Mods usually help make the game even more enjoyable. But recently, a serious warning has been issued to the Schedule 1 community. It turns out that some mods are not just changing the game—they’re putting players’ computers at risk. Two specific mods have been found to contain dangerous malware, and players who have downloaded them are being told to uninstall them right away.

Malware is a harmful kind of software that can secretly damage your computer or steal personal information. When players download a mod that contains malware, they might not even realize something is wrong until it’s too late.

Two Dangerous Mods Identified

The mods that have raised alarms are called “Increased Stack Size Limit” and “Backpack Mod Reupload.” These mods were originally created to add new features or improvements to the game. At one point, they were completely safe to use. However, that changed when one of the creators sold their account to someone else. The new owner took advantage of this and added harmful code to the mod before uploading it again.

Critical Vulnerabilities: The Dark Side of Pacemaker Technology

The “Increased Stack Size Limit” mod was found to include a type of malware known as a trojan. A trojan is sneaky because it looks like a normal file but hides something dangerous inside. Once it gets onto your computer, it can open the door for hackers to access your files, passwords, or even control parts of your system without you knowing.

The “Backpack Mod Reupload” was also found to be dangerous, although details about the exact type of malware in that one haven’t been shared. Just like the first mod, it was removed from the website after people reported it. The account responsible for uploading the infected mods has been banned to help protect other players.

Many people may have already downloaded these mods without knowing they had been changed. This is why the warning is so important. Players are being asked to delete these mods immediately to avoid any damage.

What Players Should Know

Anyone who downloaded these mods recently should be very careful. Even though the mods have been removed from the website, they could still be sitting on people’s computers. It has been confirmed that versions of the “Increased Stack Size Limit” mod downloaded before Friday, 11 April 2025 at 10:29 PM are believed to be safe. Only the updated versions released after that time are considered dangerous.

To stay protected, players are being told to remove the mods from their systems and run a full virus scan using trusted antivirus software. This can help detect and remove any malware that may have been installed. On top of that, it’s a good idea to change passwords for important accounts, just in case any information was exposed.

This situation has shaken up the Schedule 1 modding community. It’s a reminder that while mods can make games more exciting, they can also carry risks when they’re not properly checked. Players should always be cautious about where they download files from and be alert to any unusual activity on their computers.
