Lookalike of Shoaib Akhtar Shocks Fans at Oman D10 League

The latest game in the Oman D10 League has taken social media by storm. The young cricketer Imran Muhammad has shocked fans with a shocking similarity to Shoaib Akhtar. “His striking resemblance to the former Pakistani fast bowler,” which has gone viral, had social media abuzz over his bowling skills as his long hair blows as he bowls.

Imran Muhammad: The Emerging Star

Imran Muhammad is 30 years of age, from Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He left his village at 18, eyes open to all the opportunities abroad brought before him. Now, he resides in Muscat, Oman, working as an installer of CCTV cameras. However, Imran is not a man of mere installed cameras and wires; his love for cricket still pushes him hard. He plays in different franchise leagues, doing well on the field.

During a match between Yallah Shabab Giants and IAS Invincibles, while bowling, his action was compared with that of the Rawalpindi Express. The fans were commenting that his hair was long like the well-known hero Shoaib Akhtar. The video recording within no time had come to be a social media hit.

A video released by a user on X piqued everybody’s interest. The caption read, “He’s more Shoaib Akhtar than Shoaib Akhtar himself…” Fans could just be lost in awe and disbelief. A flood of comments was left in the comment section with many saying the youngster looks very much like the cricket icon.

Virat Kohli Struggles Again Against Bangladesh

It has not only marveled the fans but brought to the limelight the importance of having doppelgangers in sports. Many see it as testimony to Imran’s potential as a cricketer. In fact, some light-heartedly captioned Imran as Shoaib Akhtar in the making. Online buzz has picked interest in Imran’s matches during the Oman D10 League.

Shoaib Akhtar Legacy

Shoaib Akhtar is a great name in cricketing history. He is remembered as the fastest bowler of all time. In his entire career, he played 46 Test matches and took 178 wickets. In ODIs, he took 247 wickets in 163 games. He also played 15 T20Is, taking 19 wickets.

Akhtar finally retired in 2011 due to continuous problems with knee injuries. He shifted to cricket commentary after retirement. His views and opinions on the game have made him a multi-channel attraction to millions of cricket fans. He also operates a YouTube channel where cricket matches are discussed and performances analyzed.

Bangladesh Seeks U.S. Support for Economic Reforms Amid Crisis

While Imran Muhammad gets fans celebrating his look like Akhtar, they also recount the impact of the original Rawalpindi Express. Shoaib Akhtar has remained one inspiration for many young cricketers, including Imran. Such lookalikes also show the tie between erstwhile and existing stars.
