Heightened Security Alert at US Military Bases in Europe Raises Concerns

Several US military bases around Europe have stepped up their security alert levels this. Weekend to the second-highest level, known as Force Protection Condition, or FPCON.        “Charlie,” according to two US officials, citing concerns about potential terrorist threats.

Alert Level Raised: FPCON Charlie in Effect

When credible intelligence is received or after a probable threat of terrorist action. Against personnel or facilities is indicated, FPCON Charlie is activated. This represents the first time in more than a decade that US military bases in Europe. Have come under such a high alert level.
